How do I delete browsing history?

Android version 4.0.4.

menu>System settings>more> gives me the options Airplane mode, VPN, Tethering & portable hotspot and Mobile networks but no history or clear history option. I know there are apps that do this, but isn't there a way without downloading an app?

Load Browser app, go to Settings | Privacy & security and select Clear history then respond OK.

I discovered that I must go to bottom of Google search page and it gave me option to delete. And it worked. Very simple. It had to be done at the search engine site.

Just F.Y.I...... While your there, it's a good habit to delete cache every time before exiting your browser. Browser cache can get quite large very quickly.
