how do I edit the people app,seems so simple but cannot find edit tab

Hello sgegoffer. Welcome to Android Forums. I'm not certain what People app you are talking about. A lot of apps that lack an edit tab will allow an edit either via a long press or using the menu button. For the best help you will want to check out the discussion / support area we have for you device. If you have any trouble finding that area, please let us know. We'd love to be of assistance. Olbriar, the "people" app is Contacts.

Sgegoffer, long-press a contact and look in the menu you get for Edit. (There's also an Edit before calling, but I think you want the plain Edit item.)
