How do I ensure I'm not constantly 'surfing'?

Hi,

Joined up all of 5 minutes ago and here's my second question already!!

I have hooked up my HTC Legend to my wireless network at home which is working fine. But when I'm out and about and I want to have a look at a website I will obviously be using part of my monthly data usage through my service provider.

The question is...Once I have finished surfing, how do I close it down so that I know that no further data is being uploaded and using up my monthly quota?

Cheers
Glenn

I use back button when using dolphin, it exits well that way. Keep hitting it until it asks you to quit, or hold it

Ok...I've found that if you hold the on/off button you get the option to turn off the Mobile Network, which is exactly what I'm after. So all I need to do is find the widget like sitlet suggested.

Don't know Legend at all, but I can tell you how I find it on my Desire, I figure it's probably the same procedure:
1. Long press on an empty space on your home screen / Press the "+" in the bottom right of your screen.
2. Choose Widget
3. Choose Settings (that's what it's called on the Desire at least, it gives you four or five different widgets to choose from).
4. Choose Mobile Network.

Done! ;)

As you said "Done! ;) "
