How do I get app to work

Hi there

I have a JIVO FM transmitter of which you are supposed to plug into a headphone socket of something and it will transmit through it.

Ive plugged into the headphone socket of my galaxy nexus and nothing happens. Is there some sort of app I need?

FM transmitters should just transmit whatever you connect to them. Try it with another device like an MP3 player, that will prove if the transmitter is working or not. Obviously make sure you got the radio tuned in and the volume turned up. Is the phone recognising you've plugged something into the headphone jack, and is showing the headset icon?
