How do I get my phone to announce incoming numbers/names?

I've got an LG G6 and a Plantronics Explorer PLT E500 headset. I had no idea that the Plantronics would only say "incoming call". A totally useful feature - forgive my sarcasm but how does someone think that not reading your phonebook's contacts or simply announcing the number itself wasn't important. I've had older headsets that accomplished this.

Otherwise, the headset is great - awesome battery and very good sound quality.

So, are there any cool workarounds to override this programming faux pas by Plantronics?
