How do I get rid of completed download arrow?

Newbie
New to Android and this is probably a stupid question but I couldn't find an answer after searching the forums.

I have the Evo and cant figure out how to get rid of the completed download indicator arrows at the top of the screen.

Can anyone help me out?

put your finger at the top of your screen where the bar with the battery and clock is and drag it down. you can either tap the notification to open it or press the clear box in the right corner to erase the notifications
