Help How do I get rid of Exclamation Mark on my Wifi settings?

I'm on Android 5.0.2 on Moto G 2nd generation and there's the infamous exclamation mark next to the Wifi icon on my phone. For some reason, I can do google searches fine on the Google app, but when I click on a link, it tells me that the webpage cannot be loaded. This is really annoying and I want to get rid of the mark. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

The ! with wifi means that the radios connected, but the phone did not connect to the internet.

The search was done with mobile data in that case, and mobile data not loading the page would most likely be an issue with the APN settings (check that there's no proxy involved) or something up with the sim card.

In any case, first try booting into recovery and clearing the main cache.

Actually, my data plan does not provide any internet access. By the way, I have no idea how to clear the main cache. I have TWRP recovery, and I don't know how to use it so well. Also, do you know if I need to clear the main cache every time this happens?

Go into TWRP, Wipe, Advanced, check cache and Dalvik, and wipe ONLY those two things.

Do NOT check off anything else in there.

Before predicting how often you'll need to do that, see if it works first.

(Sorry for extremely late reply, waiting for the mark to come again to verify my problem was gone took way longer than I thought)
Anyways, after clearing the cache, the exclamation mark did disappear, but I REALLY wanted to make sure I would never see it again. I waited to see if the exclamation mark came up again, and it finally did one day, but before clearing the phone's cache again, I wanted to see if there was anything else causing it to happen. With enough rambling around, I found my ad blocker to be the culprit. As soon as I killed the application, the exclamation mark was gone. I took the extra step and cleared its cache as well. Since then the exclamation mark has not appeared.
Thanks so much for helping me with this, I thought it would be a problem with my phone, but it turns out it was just caused by poorly made app.
