How do I get YouTube to load in Lo Def?

I have a Nexus 7 with everything stock, including the YouTube app. My wifi at home is only so fast and when videos load in Hi Def they spend a lot of time buffering. When I load them in Lo Def they load smoothly. I cannot find how to set the YouTube app to default to Lo Def videos. Anyone know how?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums, Roy. :)
If you go to the Youtube app and hit menu and go to settings then uncheck High quality mobile. That should work. :)

My YouTube menu has four selections: Settings, Feedback, Help, Sign Out

My Settings menu has three selections: General, Search, About

My General menu has one selection: Caption font size

I just don't see the option you named.

When you're watching a video (or waiting for it to load) tap the video window to bring up the upper and lower bars. Look at the left corner of the bottom bar. You should see "HD" with a red line under it. Tap on that, and it'll reload the video in SD (standard def)- the lower left corner will still say HD but the line under it will be grey now.
