How do I insert contact in SMS in Nokia 6 Android Oreo

How do I insert contact information in SMS in Nokia 6 Android Oreo?

I was able to do this on my previous phone with Android Marshmallow but with Android Oreo I can't see that feature "insert contact" anymore.

Yes I know I can go to my contacts app and copy it from there but it's too inconvenient to do that everytime I need to do this since I need to do this a lot of times in a day for business purpose.

There's another way but it would be sent as MMS not SMS anymore.

Can't really understand why would they remove this user-friendly feature. This is not even the only one. Thanks.

Was this "insert contact" a feature of your previous SMS app? That's not part of the Android system, but an app chosen by the user or manufacturer. So if that's what it was then it's not that Nokia or Google "removed" a feature but just that your previous phone had a different message app. In which case, the fix is to change to a message app that has the feature (there's no reason for using the built-in app if it doesn't do what you want - there nothing special about pre-installed apps, they are just the ones the manufacturer chose to include).

I've had a look at my SMS apps, and while Chomp and Google's own Messages app do not have this feature Textra does (I prefer Chomp's more extensive customisation, but Textra's functionality is often a winner). Using that app you can insert a contact vcard into a message by pressing the "+" button next to the text entry field and then the contact icon. Or go to contacts, select the contact and then select "Share" from the options and selecting Textra from the options.
