Help How do I mirror my Android device to Amazon Fire TV?

Hello all,

I'm trying to mirror my Android phone (Pixel) to my Amazon Fire TV.

I have tried what is listed on the amazon.com guide and this is not working.

I am using a google Pixel running 8.0.0

Amazon Fire TV is running Fire OS 5.2.6.0

What I am doing:

1. On my Amazong Fire TV (AFTV) I go to Settings > Display & Sounds > Enable Display Mirroring
2. On my android I go to Settings > Connected devices > Cast

*Note: I am connected to the same wireless router on both devices.

Nothing shows up in my list of castable devices. Any clue on what is going on here? I tried doing the same thing on my windows machine through google chrome. I cannot detect my AFTV there either.

This requires miracast, which I'm not sure Pixel / Chromecast still support. I added this to the Pixel channel where other device owners may be able to confirm or offer a workaround.
