how do i rename my music

i have a samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and im using the music app that comes installed on it and ive downloaded music onto my device but idk know how to rename it so it has the proper information, can anyone help please?

Hey' You can simply rename any file. All you need to do is go to the playstore and install 'Filemanager' and install it. Go.. search for download .. open it and keep on your finger pressed on the song you want to rename.. and then there will be an option 'rename' But make sure about one thing.. for music? You need to put .mp3 at the end.. only then it will come in your songs section. Thanks.

Thank you so much for such direct solution that wave us all the burden dealing with such matter , what you recommended really did it .

Personally I like using an MP3 tag editor. That way you can specify what Genre, Release Year, Artist, Album name, and track number info as well as just changing the name. Here's an Oldie but a Goodie; MP3TAG. Works great on Windows PCs.

application for renaming so many - write "rename music" in the play-market and choose. I do not know what you do not convenient itag. All use - it's normal program.

I installed File Manager as suggested above. The names of the tracks are correct in File Manager, but not in the Samsung Music app. A bunch of songs I downloaded say "Track 1," "Track 8," etc. and I'd like to be able to change those to the correct song name. Any ideas?
Thanks.
