How do I root my Micromax Canvas Viva A72?

Hello,
I just purchased a new Micromax Canvas Viva a72. Its yet on android 2.3.6 version so I want to root it and install a new ROM or update the version, I hate the UI.

So Im trying to root this mobile from 24 hours but I cant connect it to PiranhaBox which maybe is the easiest way of rooting it.
Piranha box shows me "Device Not Connected" and no other options work in it.

I think its because my device is connecting to the PC in "Mass storage mode", I also searched many blogs on how to change it to "Portable Media Device".

I also tried rooting it via "Poot app" but it isn't compatible maybe.

Please help me on how to root it or update it to JellyBean or such.
