How do I save contacts on my android 1.5

I dial a phone number with my Motorola backflip. Then I call it. How do I save this as a contact? I have a bunch of calls in my recently dialed list. How do I save them as contacts? Why isn't this basic functionality intuitive?

How about just long clicking the number in the phone history book, usually works. phone should ask if you want to save the contact to you phone book if its a new number, backflip may do it different but its pretty intuitive on most android phones.

Hello the answer to your question is very simple all you have to do is type in the number then push the option button (on the key board or touch key). Then press the contacts with the + icon on top then press new for a new conntact and there you go when your done typing his or her name go all the way to that bottom there is a save button. If you or anyone else veiwing this thread if you know what battery saving mode conserves more battery please post it on my thread titled Backflip. Thank you.
