Hi I have a HTC Hero (G2 Touch) on T-Mobile in the UK. As I often work abroad I can send free MMS messages as part of my contract, (I get charged 40p for sending a normal SMS) so I usually write a text in MMS and send it without a picture! However I can't seem to do this with the Hero... as I have to attach something in order to send.. can someone please show me a way around this problem??

Many thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if there's an actual solution, but if you have to 'attach something', maybe you could just find or create one or more random graphics/ images- save them to you photos and attach one when necessary. Could use anything, a splotch of color, logo for your favorite band/ football team, whatever.

Using my Droid I find that adding a subject will cause it to send as MMS. While typing the message just hit Menu -> Add Subject.

Maybe something similar would work for you.

Yep, that's correct. Adding a subject changes the message from SMS to MMS. I think this gives you 1000 characters of text
