I often get many notifications and I like to dismiss them (slide to the right) after seeing/dealing with them. Sometimes while I'm viewing notifications and dismissing them the notifications will resort and I end up dismissing the wrong one. I have a Galaxy S8+ but this behavior existed on my Nexus 6 also, so it seems to me this is default behavior for Android. Without modifying Android code, is there a way to stop it from sorting the notifications (at the very least to get it to stop sorting while I'm interacting with them)?
