How do I unlock my Google Pixel 2xl (Verizon)?

I want to sell this phone, but it is on the Verizon network. To make it more desirable to interested parties, I think I need to unlock this phone? I still owe on it, but I can pay it off it that is required (which I assume it is). How does one go about unlocking the phone to make it be able to be used across multiple carriers?

Thanks!

If you pay it off completely, or pay the ETF(early termination fee), then the carrier should provide you with the unlock code upon request. That's what usually happens. The phone itself should request the carrier unlock code when you insert a SIM from another carrier.

I'm sure unlocked phones are definitely easier to sell, and tend to demand a higher price than carrier locked phones.

I'd suggest asking Verizon to unlock it now. Yes, you'll need to pay it off before they will do so.

Thanks! What I was wanting for the phone it is worth it, but yes I want to open it up to more buyers. I will try and get it paid off here in the next few weeks.

The unlock is preferably done with Verizon because if you do it through one of those unlock obscure places..your phone won't work with every single carrier.
