Help How do I upgrade to Gingerbread my SGS I-9000 without an usb cable?

Hi guys, I'm currently using cyanogenmod 11 and the phone is super slow, i've been using CM 10 before and it was working quite okay but had a lot of bugs like lots of crashing and restarting itself. So I'd like to switch to Gingerbread cause it was working best . The problem is that I can't upgrade it via an usb cable since there's a major problem with it, it keeps disconnecting from the pc and reconnecting although it never stops charging so it can't be the cable. so there's no way I can do it via an usb. What other methods are out there?

It could be the cable, if one of the data lines is dodgy but the charging lines are ok. I have one cable that only works for charging.

Otherwise you could buy a cheap USB microSD reader, copy the ROM zip onto your sd card that way, then flash it from recovery.

I already have a micro SD reader and an sd card, but where can i get the ROM zip?

Well how were you planning on changing ROMs otherwise? XDA is a common source for custom ROMs.

Or did you want to flash the phone back to stock? That of course depends on what model it is.
