How do i use GeoTagging for my Wildfire S?

Hey everybody. I'm new to this forum, got my HTC wildfire s few days ago and i adore it! I've never had a phone that can do so much, i'm used to just the basic texting and calls. However i am confused with Geotagging. How does it work? Obviously GPS would have to be enabled for it to work but how do i get it to work on my phone? On the camera it is enabled but i'm still confused with how it worked.. I've read on various websites that you need to download an app from the market, however i don't understand why i would have too if the option is already enabled on my camera settings?

Sorry for any confusing.. I'm new to android and the whole 'smartphone' thing.

Edit: I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, so sorry if it isn't!

If you have geo tagging enabled in the cam app so every time you take a picture AND you have a GPS signal this picture will have the geo coordinates (Google address) in its meta data.
You can see it at the picture's Detail.
