how do i use skype?

I am trying to connect to skpe but when i try to call it says that i must be connected to a wifi network..Then i try to connect to metropcs easy wifi and it says that every one is not in range..I have internet at home i was wondering how i could connect to my computer if possible.. Please somebody help me and walk me through it step by step cause im kinda new at this....Thank You

Do you have a PC with internet? Start an account there.
Depending on your phone - you will have to search for wifi to find yours, enter all information.
If you have another Skype user, try to connect with them.
You also need at least 2.1 on Android to run Skype.
What's nice is that you can be on the phone and computer at the same time.
I find it harder to disconnect from Skype on Android than I did on Symbian. Could be that the Galaxy S has a task manager built in, and the Galaxy 3 and Symbian didn't.
