How do I wipe an old phone that's no longer in my possession?

Hello all.
I have an old Moto E4 that was stolen. Whoever has it is using it on WiFi, but hasn't reset the phone, so they are using my Google hangouts.

In the meantime, I have gotten another phone. But I'm using my same Google account that I used on the old phone and I did have Hangouts installed on the new phone. I had to uninstall it because if I texted somebody, the message snows up on the old phone and the messages they send show up on my phone -- I guess all messages show up on both phones. Furthermore, whoever has my old phone has looked at all my old messages and has wanted to discuss some of the content with me!!

What can I do about this? Whoever has my old phone is not willing to sell me my old phone back. The old phone doesn't have any phone service. They using it with WiFi.

Can somebody help me out here?

Be sure to change the passwords of any social media services that you've used on your old phone, and log into your Google account:
https://myaccount.google.com
and click on the 'Device activity & security' link in the left side panel, find your old phone in the listing that shows up in the 'Recent devices' box, and remove account access from that device.
Or just do a remote wipe of old phone:
