How do lollipop lockscreen notifications work?

So first off i finally got lollipop on my phone (had to buy a prepaid ATT sim cause cricket is aids) and for the most part i love it. Onto the question of the thread, what is up with notifications on the lock screen? I press them once and a big box covers my entire screen saying swipe to unlock.....how is that useful? I actually have to finitely swipe down on the notification to bring it to the top of the screen THEN i can finally click the icon to bring me to it. Is mine bugged somehow? I know this isnt how lollipop notifications are supposed to work, you should be able to click them once to access them.

Has anyone else seen this behavior on G2 with lollipop?

Yes, it's confusing because it's different, as I had the same problem. All you do is drag down on the notification to unlock, then tap the notification to open it in whatever app it pertains to. It's hard to get into the habit after using 4.4 or whatever version you're coming from, but it's not a bad way to go.

Right but this isnt how ANY other phones with lollipop deal with the notification screen. With all other brands all you need to do is tap the notification once to go to it, with LG they made it so you have to do 2 actions (like you say either swipe down and then tap it, OR you can tap it once and swipe to unlock in the box that shows on lock screen to unlock phone and go to that app). I thought my phone was bugged at first but after watching a g2 lollipop review on youtube it is indeed intended, and very poorly done by LG.

i followed you thread an had the same exact prblem with my lg g2 at&t phone my question is which sim card did you get straight talk or at&t to get the at&t up date. straight talk is about 6.99. i also want lolliepop.
THANKS FOR ANY INFO:)

Araxxis another question will i loose my cricket service or can i install it and once i get my update install my cricket sim card back in? Thanks
