Help How do you create NFC tag to auto start playing music?

Trying to create an NFC tag for a non-rooted Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 to auto-start music with the default music player. I'll be using it for my car, and got BT to go on, WiFi to go off, Media Volume to go high, and Music Player app to open. NFC Task Launcher app has a place to create a custom "open a specific activity within an app", but can't figure out how to make NFC open the default Music Player app and auto-start playing music (shuffle all)

I figured out a way to start the music to play, but haven't figured out how to get you the shuffle part yet. To do this you need Tasker. It isn't a free app, but it is well worth the money. The things you can do with Tasker are amazing.

Once you download Tasker, create a task within it. Go to the Media actions section and then "Media Control" and select Next from the list. This will automatically start your default music player and issue a "Next" command which will tell the music player to go to the next song and start playing. There is also a Music Play command but it looks like it requires you to pick out a music file to start playing. The "Next" command works quite well.

As for the Shuffle...just leave the music player in shuffle all the time and I think that should do the trick.

After completing and saving the Tasker task, go to the NFC task launcher and select the Tasker task to launch and write it to the tag.

That didn't seem to work, I did buy Tasker. Did you try this and it worked? The music app never opened. I tried to open it with another action in the same Tasker task, which didn't work. I tried to have NFC open the app (which it did) then have Tasker play and hit next, which didn't work. I did setup externally access setting in Tasker, it doesn't seem to be working.

Yes, I did do this and try it out. It worked for me. The only action in the tasker task should be Media Control command Next. Simulate Media Button checked. The NFC Launcher should only perform the Tasker task. Worked like a charm for me. And you are correct, go to setup and do the external access setting in Tasker.

It worked! Beautifully, thanks for your help with this, I really appreciate it. There is definitely a learning curve for Tasker

No problem! Tasker is extremelly powerful, you just have to learn how to use it and make it do what you want it to. There are several threads here on Tasker if you'll do a search. It'll give you a lot of neat ideas on what you can do with your phone. Some are based on NFC and some aren't.

I tried doing this but it won't work. I followed the instructions above and I created a tasker task to open the music player then created an NFC tag but when I try the tag it says "music on" but the program doesn't open. What am I doing wrong?
It opens the program, i.e.the music program, but doesn't start playing.

This is what I would like to do as well, but with using Spotify and having it start to automatically play a playlist. Is that possible?
