I've already installed the apk but it seems I can't find any pokemon stores or pokemon and there's always a red bar on top saying failed to detect location but the map updates correctly. Anybody have a solution?

How do you play PokemonGO on BlueStacks?

Does it require in-game purchases, provided by Google Play Services? If so, apparently Bluestacks doesn't support that, not approved by Google, i.e. you can run the games and apps, but you can't buy anything. This thread was about it for Clash of Clans....

For location Pokemon Go probably requires, WiFi location, cellular or even GPS, but Bluestack doesn't provide that.
You could give Koplayer a try, think that's a bit more developed that Bluestacks.
