How do you Transfer pictures from phone to the computer?

How do you transfer pictures from your phone LG g5 to the computer, with the USB Cord in already and all on Windows 10?

Thanks you.

Hi KristyW79. Welcome to Android Forums! I usually just use the file explorer on my computer to navigate to the DCIM folder on my phone then select all the photos and Copy and Paste them to a folder on the computers desktop. Works with just about any phone.

I'll just suggest an alternative to using a physical USB cable to connect your LG to your Win10 PC and install the Google Photos app on your phone.

You can use the default photo manager on your LG or just use Google Photos to manage your photo library but the most important part is to enable the 'Backup & sync' option in its Settings menu. Once that's enabled your photo library gets copied up into your online Google account and whenever you take any pictures the auto backup/sync takes place over WiFi or cellular. As far as your Win10 PC, you can access your photo library using any web browser and logging into your account at:
https://play.google.com

Another option is Dropbox. With Dropbox you'll need to install and configure the Dropbox app on your LG, along with the Dropbox program on your Win10 PC, and at that point your photos will be automatically backed up to your online Dropbox account. Dropbox will be syncing your phone with a designated folder on your Win10 PC so you'll always have the original photos on your LG, plus duplicates of your photo library in online Dropbox account and on your Win10 PC.

Since you've got a Win10 box, you might want to use OneDrive instead as it's pretty well integrated into Win10, and a lot of other Windows services, already.

Mostly I'm suggesting these other, online options because they each involve a way to automatically do online backups. A lot of people don't back up their photos so automatic solutions are often a better alternative.

Svim - which one do you suggest - I already have my USB cord connected to my computer

Thank you.

That LG supplied USB cord is all you need to connect your phone directly to your computer, no other adapter or whatever is required. As far as software, you might need to download drivers from LG's site and install into your Win10 PC so phone's internal storage is accessible.
