How do you turn off system auto updates?

I do not see a way, and it will download these updates automatically over my data plan.

This is a sprint version of the g5. Oh, btw, sprint sucks. Avoid them.

Open the Play Store, tap on the hamburger bar and scroll down to Settings, under General tap on Auto-update apps then either choose Do not auto-update apps or Auto update apps over Wi-Fi only.

Wifi only was already selected. It downloaded a system update over data anyway.

Ask Sprint, it's their device. I believe forced updates can be a problem with US carrier version, locked and subsidized phones, and no way to stop it apparently. Apart from rooting, changing ROM etc.
