How do you use an Android device in the sun/in a light environment?

Hi,

If it's sunny outside, I can't see anything on the screen of my Android device (HTC Desire). Do you have any solution to this? Thanks.

Turn up the brightness or hold the phone so it's in your shadow. I keep the brightness about halfway on my HTC Hero and never have a problem, even in direct sunlight.

Ok. Thanks for the trick. Shouldn't it adjust brightness in some automatic fashion?
