I'm asking this question and there may have been others that asked this also, but I am looking for the simplest way to create my apps for Android. I have been in the computer business over two decades so I'm not a newbie, but at the same time, do I need to start from the ground floor and learn this?
I have looked into Google's solution (AppInventor), but after doing all the tutorials, I have to say it was not really very easy. It doesn't explain anything really.
I have loaded Java Eclipse, Netbeans IDE, and MOTODev on my system. I have looked these over and they are pretty much just the code builders very similar to apps like Adobe Dreamweaver. So building the app should be pretty easy, if you know the language to build it.
I downloaded the complete java tutorial from sun and from what I understand it is the best way to learn Java. It starts off easy but gets really difficult quickly.
I also bought the books, Android for Java Developers, Beginning Android, Pro Android, Sams teach yourself Android.....Etc. Most are really long and sometimes I think the writer is not to sure of his own code. Sams, there were numerous entries in the example code that were incorrect.
The thing is, I want to create apps... simply. Can I make these apps in flash and somehow put a wrapper around them and get them to work? I am not being lazy here, I just am looking for a simple way and quick way to build these apps without investing a year or two in learning the java language. Does anyone know of a simple program that will do most of the coding and let you pretty much just do the designing (graphics).
What is the best way to do this? Just bite the bullet and dig in or does anyone else have some bright Ideas.
I have also tried a few sites like xda developers and so forth. I'm looking for a straight on approach, not somethign you have to dig around to find.
Any help is appreciated.
