Help How does one manual focus the camera?

I was trying to take some photos from the audience of performers on the stage, and the camera was really struggling and failing to Focus. Understandable, that the lighting would be difficult for an auto-focus setup, so I dug into the settings.

The choices under Focus are: Auto, Manual, and Face tracking. I set the camera on manual , and tried various things, but none of them seemed to effect the focus. Anyone know??

Just tried it and was able to focus manually just fine.

Right after you select manual focus, look for the slider scale on the right side of the display. If you don't see it, or if it disappears, then tap anywhere on the screen to bring it back. Slide that to where you want, and you'll see the focal point change.

If you look at the camera with a flashlight while you do this, you can see the lens in action.
