Please help me understand the use model / usefulness of linking contacts.
Let's say that I have different contacts for the same person from different imported accounts.
* Bob Smith - Bob's email
* Bob Smith - Bob's phone
Now when I link both my expectation is that :
1. I getboth email and phone number shown in a single representation of Bob's contact
2. The now superfluous second contact for Bob is hidden as to unclutter the contacts list.
I think I don't see either.
Is my expectation misguided or am I missing something?
