How is Volume control handled in Android? compared to WinMo

on my Touch Pro2, it seems the volume control is global. changing the volume say in a radio application or youtube will also change the ringer volume. this phone is loud so sometimes when i watch youtube it'll be low and i'll forget to increae the volume and i'll miss an important call or a reminder.

Android has separate ringer, notification, media, alarm, voice call volumes and a master volume.

Typically the rocker affects the volume that is currently playing. An app like Quick Settings will let you change them all from one place.

Audiomanager is also worth a look. It displays all the different volumes mazka mentioned in a widget for you.
