How long before i get charged for replacement?

So Verizon sent me a replacement phone and I am supposed to mail them back the old one within 5 days.
Well, it took me 2-3 days to get around to activating it, only to realize they sent me a defective unit. So I am now waiting for another replacement, but am back to using my original phone. I dont want to give this one up until i get a good phone up and running.

I'm sure they dont charge right on the 5th day. How long before they charge me the full price?
And when they do, I'm guessing those charges will come right off of my account once they receive it? I'm going to be sure to keep the tracking info.

ON a side note, isn't there a number of phone swaps that Verizon will do before they will let you go to a different phone? I've already gone through 2 defective devices, and after one more, i might want them to let me pick out a new phone (d4;))... i thought I remember reading that before. but dont remember if its 3, or how many it was.

They don't charge you right away, I've had a phone to return for about 14 days before I got around to mailing it. I would suggest calling VZW and letting them know there has been a delay to cover your a...

AFAIK there is no set # of phones you can get, depends on the CSR and the situation

Usually, you get charged after 30 days. The whole swap to a new device policy after xyz replacements does not exist any more. You will continue to receive the same unit. They stopped doing it due to abuse--a new phone would come out and you'd see an amazing number of requests for new devices due to defects and multiple replacements. In some very rare and extreme cases, I have seen it done, but those cases are quite rare.
