How many smartphones are you carrying?

So how many phones do you carry in a daily basis? If there is more than one, please explain the reason if possible.

Personally I have three phones with me almost all the times.

Phone 1: reserved for calls, text with limited 4G data plan (5GB of data per month).

Phone 2: web browsing, social networking, entertainment, Wi-Fi hotspot, taking photos, unlimited 4G data plan.

Phone 3: backup phone, calls only.

I have 3 phones at all times with me as well.

1st phone: for work calls and text with a limited 4G data plan for online communication

2nd phone: dedicated music player because it has a huge battery life.

3rd phone/phablet: for personal SMS, calls, 4G limited data plan for surfing the net

It seems that both of us have a similar lifestyle [emoji6]

I have a strict policy about separating my work from my personal life so this 2 phones. No one at my job knows my personal number.

About 12 years ago, I was carrying two phones around in one job I had. Because my employer at the time had a strict policy that the private use of company Blackberrys was prohibited. Now my job is an English teacher, schools don't usually issue phones out.

I have one. It does everything I need. I don't have any problem distinguishing work and personal calls / messages / emails etc. For me, there's no real need to carry more than one.

Sometimes when we're out the missus gives me her phone to look after and having two is a total PITA - really wouldn't want to have to do it all the time.

I usually use my devices to death: I repaired/replaced my Palm T|X something like eight times before I replaced it with a 'smart' phone. This last time, though, since I changed carriers as well as phones, I have three perfectly functional Galaxy S4s to play with. One of them (my own old phone) is currently loaded up with a bunch of music so my wife can more easily pick [emoji445] to listen to during our road trips. It is also my display for using my thermal camera and USB inspection camera.

I haven't decided what to use the other two for yet, but thinking about making one a dashboard camera.

i have 1 phone... with extra batteries.. and a battery charger 6500mph
i do it all through this one phone... phablet.
i just use as needed.. and change batteries. much easier to carry around that 3 phones!

now.. i do have a 2nd phone for work.. and it is charging in the office desk at all times.
it auto routs all calls to my 1 phone i carry. it comes in as a normal call on my phone.

the only issue i have is ...
i can not tell when a call comes in.. if it is from my personal number or the work number...
Does anyone know how to fix this 1 issue??? (i have a Note 3.. on ATT if that makes any difference)

If the work phone is forwarding to your personal phone, then can you not set a custom ringtone for the work phone number?

no.. because it is not coming in with the work #...
it comes into my phone.. with the number of the person calling..

if you call my work number...
you would be forwarded to me...
it would ring on my personal phone... with your personal number showing (not my work number).

and I would prefer to see your number on my personal phone ID.. because i would want to not your number.. for work detail notes....

I have my dumbphone that I use to make phone calls, text and browse minimal web pages. And I have my Android for everything else.

I have four phones. Three are from LG: Optimus V, Tribute LS660, and a G Stylo. I also have a Kyocera Event. All are working, and have been rooted. I gave my Tribute for a year to my mom when I bought a G Stylo last January, 2016. The Tribute is actually a slightly faster phone overall, compared to the G Stylo! It might have faster RAM onboard, even if it's less than the G Stylo.

The funny thing is that the Tribute is seemingly a better phone than the iPhone 5 that my mom bought to replace the Tribute (aside from the memory limitations). My brother who assisted in getting the 5 said that to me, and he's a huge Apple fanboy!

Right now, I'm using the Tribute on Virgin Mobile USA with the latest version of Monstro's ROM. I'm currently reworking the G Stylo, and will try to see at first if I can be happy with fewer apps on it. I do know that rooting is required to stop the phone from receiving any of the Marshmallow updates. I'll apply a few simple build.prop tweaks on it (there's a few for boosting dalvik heap size, opening memory and general performance), and see if I can stick with a few apps only on internal memory. I can do most of my social media from a browser, so that would help with memory issues greatly.
