I was in Sheffield yesterday and because of the Lib Dems conference there was a huge police presence. Makes you wonder how much each day of the conference cost. Here's a picture of just one of the 3 streets I went through that was jammed with police. The police were even driving Scoobies and Evo's

Sorry about the picture quality, but I had to get my phone whilst driving to take the picture. Wasn't the best action to do on reflection of the situation.

Judging by the size of some of the police, they had already emptied the doughnut shops
