Help How much free memory is ideal for your X10?

Using ATK, I usually hover around 90-100mb free memory. Is this ideal? Or am I using too much stuff? Sometimes I feel my phone slow down(ex: when texting the typing is somewhat delayed and I can see it type out even though I'm already done).

I'm pretty sure that's plenty of available memory to run your messaging app..in fact OS 2.1 is said to be very good at memory management anyways. What memory resident apps do you run(i.e. virus scanners etc) do you run? Might be something else slowing things down by chewing up processor cycles.

don't trust ATK'S memory numbers...don't use ATK's at all IMHO...the phone will close apps if memory get to a critial point (my phone doesn't slow down a bit even if i play mediascape music, use google nav, texting somebody while a game is running in the background...all in the same time.)

Yes don't trust ATK its not accurate when i check ATK i have 120mb Free.
I check with my phones own task killer i only have 49mb free as you can see ATK was way off.
And with 49mb free i didnt have any lag so i wouldnt worry about free memory if your on 2.1 that is.
As a matter in fact i only have 12mb available right now but i have more that will be available in a certain amount of time.And yet still no lag .
