Help How reliable is uninstalling an app?

Curious Mew

Newbie
I paid for and downloaded a lame 1$ app that was at least 6MB in size, and when I had gone into settings>applications>manage applications to finally uninstall it, the app was only 1.5MB in size?

I was hoping to delete the whole 6MB, but I have no idea where the other 4.5MB could be? I tried looking under the Files app, but couldn't seem to find anything related. I looked under Running Services to see if it had left any running residues, but I'm not exactly sure if I'm looking in the right place.

My phone is about 3 days old, and I'm being really careful about downloading apps that may eventually cripple or slow my phone down. My old HTC taught me that downloading everything and anything is a bad idea, and it was a better idea to pay for apps rather than deal with a free version and their ads.

Can someone tell me whether or not uninstalling an app permanently deletes everything that originally came with the app?
