Help How safe is my android

Compared to my pc? What are the odds of getting hacked or getting a virus. Do I need a virus scanner on my phone? Anything I can do to increase security as I use this more than my pc

• Safer than a PC....
• You don't need a virus scanner
• only use apps from the Google Play store (or Amazon if you really insist)
• always check permissions on anything you install (and the privacy policy) if you don't like what it says - Don't use it
• Make sure your phone is locked if you leave it on your desk at work and your co-workers are practical jokers
• Don't install any app by Cheetah Mobile
• Make sure your google account (or any other account) has a strong unique password

Damn safe. Seriously. Apps can be hacked but the Android OS is strong.
