How slow is MetroPCS after you pass the data limit?

I am on the $50 3 Gb plan and I may go over the 3 Gb data limit. How slow is the MetroPCS internet connection at their reduced speeds over the data limit? Will I be able to watch youtube videos for example?

The throttled speeds are too slow for video.

I'd try to use WiFi whenever you can to keep mobile data use down until next month

They Throttle you down to 2G EDGE which is very slow.
