Help How to access app settings?

My wife owns the galaxy s3, which has a dedicated settings button built in. On that device, no matter which app you are in it is easy to just press that button and get straight the custom settings of the individual app. Of is almost like the right click menu in windows, which I miss every time I switch to Mac (function click just ain't the same).

On the nexus, I find most apps tend to have three vertical dots in the upper right corner that like to this, but not all... dolphin browser for example has no easy access to settings.

Anyone know a better method to access app settings, or know of a from that maybe adds a 4th always present bottom button? Any advice appreciated!

The three vertical dots are the menu button of the apps :)

If an app doesn't view this menu button then the tab should do it ... as temporary button on the tab's bottem next to its three permanent buttons.

I think Google has introduced it with ICS.

I cannot figure out where you are referring to when you say tab. In dolphin browser for instance there is no 3 button setting on the tab.

When you see three vertical dots, THAT is where the settings for that app will be. The N7 doesn't have a dedicated menu button.

For the Dolphin Browser, the three vertical dots are at the bottom right corner. Tap the three dots, tap "more", then tap "settings".
