How to add a shortcut to a file to Home Page?

I have a Galaxy S8 and would like to add an icon/shortcut to my Home Page that takes me straight to a file.

Thought this would be straightforward, but, not found the answer on the web, yet!

There was a video that looked like it would be it, but, it first went to an app called Samsung and this doesn't show up on my phone. Then they used "My Files" and, although I have something called that, it looks different and doesn't have the option needed to create the shortcut.

Can anyone help, please?

All sorted! The "Samsung" apps were at the beginning of the list, when I was expecting them with all the other S's in alphabetical order!
