Help How to adjust Facebook notification volume

I have a Galaxy S3 and I don't think this issue is related to the phone, rather, Android and Facebook.
How do you adjust the volume level on the Facebook app notifications? No matter what I do with my different volume levels, when I receive a FB notification it's extremely loud and not to mention annoying. Needless to say this is only on the FB app as all of my other notifications come in and actually use the volume level correctly as set on my "Notification volume level".

Why is this even an issue? Seems so trivial, but it's reality and I can't imagine I'm the only one who is experiencing this.

You can also set the notification for facebook on silent or a different tone if you're sick of the old one. As for adjusting the volume for it I'm afraid I don't know. :(
 
Yeah I have messed with each and every volume level in my settings. I'm pretty savy when it comes to Android and smart phones. This seems to be some kind of programming error in the Facebook app. While in FB I've gone into settings and there's actually a "Notification Settings" section, however, no volume level options. I can turn off completely, or pick and choose from a few common items on what to notify me about. There's an option to change the Notification Ringtone, which I did earlier this morning, however, it didn't even change :-)
 
I really wish I could help you more, but this seems to be an issue with the app.
Have you tried updating the app to see if it adds a feature to control the volume?
