Help How to backup APRSdroid and EchoLink settings

Greetings,

My Nexus 6P Android 8.1.0 has several apps, the settings of which Id like to keep backed up to my GoogleDrive account, so that any new factory or OTA image can restore those settings without my searching through archived emails for passwords and other app settings.

In particular, I'd like to add APRSdroid and EchoLink to the "Settings->System->Backup->App Data->Backed up app data" list, but request your help to learn how, please.

It's unfortunately 100% up to each application's developer to configure their app to use that built-in backup mechanism. There's no way to force it to happen. I'd suggest contacting the respective developers to let them know that it's a capability you'd like to see added.

Failing that, you'll need to use a third-party backup utility like Helium.
