Rooting is the only way to ad block. If you are in the U.S., don't be afraid because of warranty concerns. The Magnussen-Moss Warranty Act prevents warranty denial unless it can be proved that the owner action or modification caused the fault. For example, rooting allows you unfettered access to system files, which if deleted, could brick your device. That would certainly be just cause for warranty denial. However, if your screen delaminated after rooting, they would be hard pressed to prove a connection. The law states they must prove your actions caused the fault... not "might have" caused the fault. As long as you don't do anything stupid, you'll be fine.
