How to change icons using Icon Changer Free

Hi Everyone,

I'm using an Honor 8X with the latest Android OS. However, I cannot seem to get any of my icons to change using 'Icon Changer Free' (Downloaded from Play Store).

For some reason each time I try to make the change, it simply puts a shortcut with exactly the same icon as previously on my phone?
Any help would be fab as it's really bugging me now.

The stock launcher with your model of phone may not support that option
You can always install a different launcher from the play store and that will let you customize everything you want for free. I use nova launcher and never looked back

Hi Danny

Thanks for your suggestion. However, I already have the Nova Launcher installed (my bad for failing to mention that). Having said that, I'm not really sure how to use it. In all honesty I just want to be able to change a few of the icons so that I've got a more unique UI.

Any other help would be great.

I believe nova supports hundreds of icon packs, and you can even assign your own unique icons to any that are on your home screens. I use a combination of Oreo icons, jpgs, and KitKat icons with no problem. Just long press on a icon, choose edit, touch the icon, then choose your icon from whatever icon pack you have installed, or simply choose a photo or jpg file. Done!

Hi Danny

Thanks once again. I think I must be doing something wrong then. I have previously used 'Icon Changer Free' on a different device and it's always worked flawlessly..... For some reason it's no longer doing so. I have tried following your instructions but I don't appear to be getting anywhere? Weird.
