Help How to change Software Update Settings

Hello everyone. I'm new to here. I have a problem in my galaxy S advance (I9070) First days I purchased it, it asked for System Update settings in Notification area. so I was selected the country as UK by mistake. So now I'm going to update it to JB, and the Kies software shows me a updates for UK, (XXLQ4 update) but i'm in a Asian country, I think that update for European country. If I update this, will it be compatible to my country ? is these europian updates can be used in asian countries ??. Please tell me how to change System Update Settings Country, there are no place to change it.

Which Asian country are you from? I heard Hong kong and Taiwan, won't be able to update to jelly bean versions of Europe.

I think you meant that you selected the UK language when you booted your phone for the first time? Correct? This should be possible to change in languages located in settings.


Secondly, where did you buy your phone? (Which country)

1) Im from Sri Lanka
2) Yes you're correct, but not selected the UK language, I selected UK as the country.

I have been trying to find a solution on the internet, but I can't seem to find similar problems.

A phone normally is set in a country it is bought in. As example, if I buy it in France and let it ship to my country, the phone will be the France version, despite I'm in Belgium.

I just installed jelly bean on my phone and I did a factory reset, so I remember the steps you need to take to boot up your phone for the first time. It only asked me to choose a language (where it gave English UK on top of the list). I didn't have to choose a country I live in.

I am also a sri lankan also i buyed ma s advance from sri lanka and set to UK(probaly i dont know is it language or country)also my one is germman moodel here is further info on my phone
