Help How to check if a phone is refurbished?

Anyone knows how to check for if a Samsung note 8 is refurbished?

Call and SMS logs can survive a factory reset (But not re-flashing a ROM, stock or custom).
You could try installing AFLogical-OSE which is part of Santoku Mobile Forensics Linux.
