How to check if branded or unbranded

As the title says, how can I check if I have a branded or unbranded phone.

I bought my phone through mobiles.co.uk, which is an Internet place for carphone warehouse. Checking the phone, there does not seem to be anything t-mobile specific, and there is no branding on the physical phone

Many UK carriers don't physically brand their high end phones any more.

But anything bought from CPW is unbranded anyway. That way, they just buy handsets and can give them out on any network. So if O2 don't release the phone you want, CPW can give you it... on O2..
