Help How to come out of safe mode in Galaxy

My Galaxy somehow got in to safe mode and behaving very wierd. The onscreen keyboard keeps on poping up whatever I do. The unlock button on the side of phone is not working - if I press that it shows the Silent / airplane/shoutdown options. I have tried factory reset, but still it is not working. Just that I have lost my data. Any help would be much appreciated.

As you've lost your data, you've nothing to lose.

If you can get to the keypad, dial

*2767*3855#

This will Hard reset the phone.

If that fails that just update the firmware.

Is there any update on this? My phone's now in Safe Mode and I can't get out of it. There's nothing in the instruction manual and I can't find anything on the web.

Can someone help me out please? How do I get out of this??
