How to connect my zte avid 4 to my lg hdtv

I HAVE A ZTE AVID 4 BY METRO PCS I'M TRYING TO CONNECT TO MY LG HDTV CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I DOWNLOADED A APP (MHL CHECKER) AND IT TELLS ME IT IS COMPATIBLE UNFORTUNATELY I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CONNECT WITH IT IT TELLS ME I CAN DO IT WITH MY USB CABLE I DON'T HAVE MORE MOBILE HOTSPOT LEFT BUT I DO HAVE DATA MY HDTV HAS HDMI MHL PORT ONLINE IT TELLS ME I'M ABLE TO CONNECT IT BUT I'M NOT SURE HOW OR IF I'M ABLE TOO HELP ME PLEASE THANKS

With a cable you'll need a micro USB to HDMI cable like this:

You just set your TV to the HDMI port you plug the cable into and then plug in your phone.

I think the ZTE Avid is still running GB (Gingerbread 2.3) last I Rooted one in 2012 and doesn't have MiraCast/ChromeCast support.. That wasn't really added until KK/LP (4.4-5.1)
