I Just want to copy my data like my bookmarks, browser history, pictures, videos, music, etc to my sd card or something to put on my new phone i want a really simple way please someone help me? maybe a video tutorial on how to do it? i dont really care about my apps that much although if i can get a really easy working way to copy everything then that would help. when i try plugging in my old droid razr maxx and copying the files to my computer then unplugging that and plugging in the new one and copy the files onto that alot of files say they cant be copied. i just want a really easy solution please. Thank you very much in advance. I dont know how to root and if i have to root do i have to root both phones?

This is basic computer 101 - it's copying files from one place to another. Use My Files, find the files you want to copy, copy them, find where you want to put them and paste them. the same thing you do in Windows, Mac or Linux.

For Bookmarks, you'll have to export them to a file first, so you can copy that file to your SD card, then copy it back on the new phone.

Files in a folder owned by a rooted user can't be read or written (depending on the permissions of the folder and the file) without root. There's no simple way to give you a step by step, because no one knows what permissions which files on your particular phone have. Learn about rooting, ES File Explorer or Root Explorer and how to handle (copy and paste) files in directories in which only a root user has permissions, or how to temporarily change the permissions (you'll still need root).
