Help How to delete a phone number within a contact

One of my family contacts has a couple of numbers, one for home and one for work. I want to delete the 'work' one but the system doesn't seem to allow it it.

If I edit edit the contact, it only shows the main number, the work one isn't shown. If I change the type of number using the drop down list on the left of the number, it simply re-displays the main number rather than the corresponding number.

Sounds like a glitch to me. Whenever I display a contact with multiple numbers, I see all of them. Likewise, when I edit them, I see all the numbers as well.

Do you have any other contacts with multiple numbers? How do those look?

You may have to write down their contact info and delete the contact, then rebuild it.
